Electrical and flammability testing
Tested to ANSI Z89.1-2014 for Class E electrical insulation and flammability by COLTS Laboratories (A2LA accredited), with the tag installed on a Type I Class E hard hat.
Helmet testing
The 3M adhesive used on Vital ID tags was tested by helmet manufacturer Centurion: EN 397 shock absorption and penetration at +50C and -40C, on ABS and polyethylene helmets.

A few useful details
What does the data window show?
The worker's name or site induction details, visible on the helmet without opening the sleeve. That makes on-site personnel checks quicker.
How is it different from the WSID-01?
It is larger, so it is more visible, and it has the data window. The waterproof ID card holds about twice as much information as the WSID-01 card.
Will the information stay readable if wet?
Yes. The design is water resistant and the ID card inside is waterproof. A clear tamper-evident seal keeps the card secure.
How does it attach to a hard hat?
With 3M helmet-safe adhesive. The tag is approximately 85 x 20 mm (3.25 x 0.75 in) and weighs under 8 grams. It can also be fitted to harnesses, reflective vests and other PPE.
How is it packed?
In packs of 50 tags. Order one pack of 50, or boxes of 100 tags (200, 300 and so on). Each 100-tag box holds four wrapped groups of 25.
